Thirteen youth and adults from St. Mark’s leave on June 12 for a mission trip to our companion parish, San Marcos, in the Diocese of Southeast Mexico. Once again, we will help with Vacation Bible School and projects around the church. Most importantly, we will continue to strengthen our long-standing relationship with our friends in Nigromante, a ranching town of 5,000 people on the border of the Mexican states of Veracruz and Oaxaca. Please pray for the parish of San Marcos, for those St. Markers who will be traveling there, and for this continued relationship with our companion parish:
O God, our heavenly Father, whose glory fills the whole creation, and whose presence we find wherever we go: Preserve those who travel on the Mission Trip to Mexico; surround them with your loving care; protect them from every danger; and bring them in safety to their journey’s end; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Prayer for Travelers, Book of Common Prayer)
Also, we invite you to join us during Sunday services on June 19 to see pictures and hear about the trip! If you can’t make it, please come to our August Taco Bar Lunch and Presentation to learn more about our relationship with San Marcos. Thank you for your continued support!
