7:00-8:30 pm Friday Evenings In Lent: Bilingual Stations of the Cross for Immigration

St. Mark’s Social Justice committee announces the theme for the social justice bilingual Stations of the Cross, which will focus on immigration issues, including DACA and Dreamers. We want to make this event, especially given the theme, as bilingual as possible. Childcare provided.
Social Justice Stations of the Cross Lenten Calendar:

The St. Mark’s Social Justice Committee is hosting Stations of the Cross with a special intention for Immigrants and Refugees Friday nights during Lent at 7:00 pm. A special presentation will precede a bilingual walking of the stations, led by Tim Sullivan.

March 2: Speakers from Re:New Project, a nonprofit organization providing training and employment for refugee women, will give a presentation.

March 9: Miguel Briones will host a special Stations of the Cross with a focus on immigrants and refugees. Parishioners and guests are invited to share their stories as they feel comfortable.

March 16: A speaker or information from World Relief will give a presentation.

March 23: Sharing session: Parishioners and guests are invited to reflect upon our call to help immigrants and refugees according to scripture as well as discuss and pray about the challenges facing immigrants and refugees to day.
