Hinduism - David Fletcher
Hinduism is the third largest world religion, after Christianity and Islam. Hinduism is an ancient religion, so old that its origins have been lost in the mists of time. Founded in India, it encompasses a variety of beliefs, practices, and cultural variations. Most variants of Hinduism, however, share the following characteristics:
1) Belief in reincarnation.
2) Belief in one supreme "Absolute"
3) Belief in the law of cause and effect
4) Belief in following correct practices
5) The desire to be liberated from the cycle of births and deaths
