Friday Programs – Studio Arts & STEAM

Studio Arts

The St. Mark’s Preschool Studio Arts Program is a year-long class that focuses on the visual and performing arts. The curriculum is based on discovering the seven elements of art through a variety of art explorations. Some examples of materials that will be explored include: wire sculpture, ceramics, acrylic paints, and photography. In years past we have explored the work of Mondrian, Picasso, Chihuly, Renior, Kandinsky and Warhol. Guest artists visit to inspire and share their talents with the students. Parents are invited to view studio work at regular gallery expositions conducted throughout the school year. This program is offered to preschool-aged children, meets Friday mornings from 9:15-12:30 and offers an ideal small class size of 12 children with 2 teachers. Priority placement is given to students also enrolled in a preschool class.
