The Rev. Dr. Mathew P. Idicula serves as vicar at the Episcopal Church of St. Columba in Hanover Park, Illinois and as a priest associate at St. Mark’s.
Fr. Idicula was ordained as a priest at the Church of South India, a partner church of Episcopal Church in North America, before joining the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago. Fr. Idicula has rendered his service to the Anglican Church in India and in United States of America as both a lay leader and an ordained priest. He also served on the National Council of Churches of South India Congregations in North America for many years in different leadership positions.
Fr. Idicula completed his theological education from Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago with a Doctoral Degree in Mission and Leadership. At present he is a fellow at the Lutheran School of Theology for continuing education.
Fr. Idicula is also a freelance writer who has published many articles. He and his wife, Elizabeth, a medical professional, have three adult children, Mathew Jr., Miriam and Kurian.
